Birthed out of Wellington’s rock scene, ELK are steady on the heels of becoming the hottest band in Aotearoa. ELK have created their own trance-like take on old school rock’n’roll with influences such as The Rolling Stones, Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses and Arctic Monkeys. Like the spirit totem of their animal namesake, ELK symbolizes a movement of strength, passion, and courage in both their personality and performance. ELK won first place at the Battle Of The Bands National Final 2019. NZ Herald dubbed the group ‘New Zealand’s sexiest rock & roll band’.
ELK ventured to the UK earlier this year to record their debut EP with multi-platinum producer, Mike Krompass (Smashmouth, 1225 Label Group, Mercia Records) and multi-platinum artist and producer, Kelly Moneymaker (Cha-Ching Records, Exposé, Back Seat Taxi). Their EP is due for release early 2021.
Frontmen Blue (Vocals) and Krash (Lead Guitar) share both songwriting and a spiritual bond. Redefining the modern rockstar, Krash and Blue are pioneering a shift to restore balance between the divine masculine and feminine energy through empathy, love, and karma. A band with relentless passion and integrity, ELK are a fast-rising powerhouse that are not to be missed.
