Nikau Te Huki

Nikau makes medicinal music; a soulful blend of World Music, Hip-Hop and Reggae with an authentic folklore feel. He entwines his cultural wisdom - delivering powerfully conscious lyrics upon tastefully curated melodies and beats. Nikau desires to eventually become a renowned producer in Aotearoa, helping to make the dreams of aspiring young musicians become a reality. Growing up as a Maori boy in a pakeha world has produced a young man with a wide lens on life. Nikau respectfully incorporates his beloved earthly Maori traditions into this ever-changing neon-glowing society. It has been a huge challenge at times, but when Nikau clears his mind, he can hear his heart and his ancestors guiding him.
