We are incredibly humbled to have been awarded the 'Mention d'honneur' Award at the FICTS Nagano Film Festival. Many, many thanks to festival director, Tsuchiya Ryuichiro, and his team for the incredible support and belief in our film. We were in extraordinary company as only twenty films from around the world were selected, including the 'Guirlande d'honneur' winning feature "Addicted to Life” by Emmy-nominated director, Pola Rapaport, and the 2021 Oscar-winning documentary short film “The Queen of Basketball” by Ben Proudfoot.
The award is extra special as this festival aims to expose local children to the international world through the international sports film festival. The commitment to creating opportunities for children in Nagano to learn about sports culture and the Olympic spirit, as well as acquiring world-class language and communication skills, is both inspiring and commendable.
Students in the Nagano Prefecture viewed the film and voted. As one of the three winning films, Zakea and K.W. will be meeting with the students on Sunday, September 8th to discuss the film.
